The Sa Perda Lada plateau
The route begins at Cuile Is Arrantas , in Escalaplano, and ends in the heart of Armungia, offering incredible views and historical and naturalistic testimonies along the entire path. The trail enters the territory of Armungia from the locality of S'Ilixi Durci , passing among the ruins of an ancient abandoned sheepfold. It continues on the Sa Perda Lada plateau, characterized by sandstone rock formations, expanses of Mediterranean scrub, and panoramic points that range from Monte Santa Vittoria to the Sette Fratelli massif, all the way to Gennargentu .
One of the plateau's iconic sites is the natural monument of Sa Mola , located approximately 500 meters above sea level. Here are the remains of an ancient 19th-century sandstone quarry , with rock shelters and blocks still visible on site. From Sa Mola, the trail descends into the Flumendosa Valley along an ancient cart track used to transport stone.

After crossing the Flumendosa on a footbridge , the trail climbs back up towards Armungia along another historic cart track, finally reaching the village of Palas de Nuraxi .
